Nigel Monk

As Sales and Design Manager, Nigel will ensure your selected pool fits perfectly with your lifestyle and specific site. Whether you want your pool to fit seamlessly into your surrounding environment or to act as a luxury feature, Nigel’s design and pool construction experience will help you choose the best pool for you and your family.

Nigel also works with the NV Pools’ team in the pre-planning stages to process council requirements and assess other site considerations knowing full reparation will deliver the gold standard of customer care he is passionate about.

If your pool is part of a large landscaping project, Nigel will work with NV Design’s Landscape Architect Jess Mills, to create a bespoke landscape design for your property.

Angela McGrath

Director, Communications Manager

Angela has worked in the contracting environment for most of her career and has gained invaluable experience in Human Resources, Health and Safety, Quality Management, and Project Management.

Angela manages NV Pools' HR and HS functions and drives continuous improvement ensuring we are operating as efficiently and safely as possible. It is also important to Angela that NV Pools retains their excellent team culture that upholds NVL’s brand and values.

In addition to these roles, Angela oversees NV Pools’ communications, brand management and marketing including client promotional material and online content. 

Claire McNutt

Co-owner, Business Manager
Bachelor of Commerce (Management)

Claire will be your first point of contact when it comes to bringing your NV Pools pool dream to life. She has a wealth of knowledge of the technical process and the key roles each team member will play in the installation of your pool.

As a liaison between yourself and your NV Pools team, Claire will keep you fully updated with clear communication on the timeline of your pool project as it progresses.

Claire also assists with organising council requirements and is readily available to answer any queries you may have along the way.

Luke Thelin

Director, Commercial Manager
20 years Landscape Construction
National Certificate - Advanced Landscape Level 4

Luke excels with his landscape construction knowledge and brings many years’ experience with pool installations to the team. Luke will supply you with an estimate including full specifications broken down into a detailed and all-inclusive view of the entire investment for your pool, from dig out through to completion.

While visiting your site regularly for quality checks, Luke will also sign off on the final finish before handing over your beautiful new outdoor living area.

Luke also manages NVL’s scheduling and resourcing ensuring a seamless handover if you have contracted NVL to complete your surrounding landscaping.

Hayden Stockwell

Pools and Landscape Foreman
15 years Pool Installation

Hayden has extensive experience in the pool installation and landscape construction industry, including 15 years working for a pool business in Marlborough.

As NV Pools’ dedicated Foreman, Hayden will take a hands-on approach project managing your pool installation and dedicated pool team. He will be on site for every stage of your pool project and will be readily available to you for project updates and any questions you may have.

Hayden is driven by providing clients with excellent service and a quality product so he is proud to work for Nelson’s leading pool company.

Jess Mills

Landscape Architect
BLA (Hons) – Bachelor Landscape Architecture

Jess joined NVL as a Landscape Architect in 2022. Jess works closely with the NV Pools team to generate landscape plans for your install and consent.

Jess relocated from Christchurch to make the most of the Nelson climate which offers endless opportunities when it comes to designing functional and bespoke outdoor living spaces. Working at Urban Paving and Landscape Supplies while studying for her landscape architecture degree, has provided Jess with extensive product knowledge on hard and softscapes which she incorporates into her NV Pools’ designs.

Jess completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University, where she gained a passion for sustainable, residential and permaculture design.

JULE KLEY

Sales and Marketing Coordinator
B.Sc. - Digital Media Marketing

Jule joined the NVL team in 2020 as a Digital Media Coordinator. Jule is responsible for NV Pools’ administration and marketing work. She will contact you once your project is confirmed so she can start your consent application as soon as possible. Jule also looks after pool equipment orders.

As NV Pools, NV Design and NVL’s digital content creator, you might even come across Jule when she is out on site snapshotting your pool for our Social Media.

Michelle Butler

HS and Office Manager

Michelle moved from South Africa with her family in 2018 where she spent many years running her own business. Since joining NV Pools and NVL in the newly created role of Office Manager, Michelle has impressed with her financial knowledge, eye for detail and proactive thinking ensuring NVL’ Managers are always supported - no matter what!

Being previously self-employed, Michelle understands the importance of excellent client service and efficient business systems and has added great value to NVL with her focus on continuous improvement.

Michelle also works closely with Angela coordinating HR and HS.
